WRAY'S STORY

NEARLY 200 YEARS OF LOUD, PROUD SPIRIT

As one of Jamaica’s most loved rums since 1825, J.Wray and Nephew’s rich history started on one island and now spans the entire globe.

Discover our History

ROOTED IN
JAMAICAN
CULTURE

J.Wray & Nephew has been an intrinsic part of Jamaican culture for nearly 200 years. As the island’s rum of choice, you’ll find Wray & Nephew at almost every milestone in the lives of Jamaicans.

1/3
WELCOMING A NEWBORN

Wray celebrates life’s big moments, like the birth of a baby. In Jamaica, Wray is traditionally present at a new birth, through to death, where bottles of Wray are placed around a coffin.

2/3
CLEANSING A NEW SPACE

Sprinkled on the foundations of new buildings, our rum is also traditionally used to cleanse and ward off evil spirits. See, even just a little Wray can go a long way.

3/3
CELEBRATING GOOD TIMES

Celebrate special occasions with special people, like a beautiful marriage or joyful graduation. Because special celebrations call for a full flavoured rum for those big and small wins.
